Winter League Week 9

Morning All

Well done to all that actually started and finished yesterday in Horrible conditions, thanks also to the 4ball that at least tried to get a round in, but had to succumb to the weather, not pleasant conditions at all - and I will resist having a go at the 2 groups of 4 who never even started, actually no I wont..............You set of tarts.

As bad as it was, somebody will always play well no matter what and to be fair considering the conditions, a few did return decent scores on the day, best of which where Flynny and Scully (Pictured with Scully left and Flynny right) with a very great 62 (shooting Level Gross) - Runners up on the day were Hamer / Seymour with 63, beating Richie and Ollie by way of a better back 9 (29 and 30 respectively) - Well played all in those conditions.

The Quarter Finals of both Knockouts are now set, and I would ask you try to arrange a suitable date to play these Games - We already have 1 in the Semi-Final for the Matchplay, and they await their opponents - Let me know if you arrange your match.

On the league front the breakaway leaders Nashy and Guy, have now been caught by the 'Peloton' after they scored 0 points this week, with Sid and Woody back on top of the League, and just 3 points separating the top 4 places, just as I like to see it. Next weeks Format will see a small proportion of the field picking up points, as it is Foursomes, a Tough format in it being alternative shots (Not to be mistaken with Fruity Foursomes) - 1 player tees off the Odd numbered holes and the other off the Even numbered holes. I will issue the Sheet as normal anyway, but 1 thing to remember on the First Hole only Both Players Tee off (NP Comp), but before they do they must nominate which players shot is for the comp.

Bob can be seen in the Feature Picture getting his trolley from a Bunker, after loosing control of it - Bit like his car on that infamous night, only this time it was Young Sean and not DB coming to his rescue (Cheers for the Picture Our Kid)

Lets hope for a better week ahead with the weather this week as we build up to play our last week before Christmas Day.
