Winter League - Week 5 Results - 12/11/2023

Good afternoon, hope yesterdays weather did not spoil your round, and I guess after the week leading up to the Weekend, you were lucky to get a game of golf in, if not 2 rounds.

Before I get into yesterdays results for week 5, I would like to offer mine, and all the WL participants, congratulations to Kev Speight (left) and Sue (Lady) Warrington on their appointments as Mr and Lady Vice elect. The picture was taken on one of Kev's many Open Victories at another club and this is the real reason he has to disappear to Lanzarote for long periods, giving enough time for the dust to settle, before he rides back into 'Town' with the rest of the 'Ball in the Hole' gang - Namely 'Kid Caveney' 'Buffalo Hill' and 'Jessie Marsh'

Speaking Of Bandits, it was no surprise to see who the winners where this weekend, namely Nutty and Eamon with 41 points - 25 points going out and 16 coming back - well played both and enjoy the 3.4 and 4.2 reductions - Nutty is on his way out to Dubai next week, taking in the DP World tour event (unfortunately yesterdays great knock was not enough for him to make the top 50) - Enjoy the Holiday Nutty, your new Handicap will be waiting for you on your return. Runners up where Mike Scrivner and John Bogans Sub, Deadly Doug, Scoring 38 Points, unfortunately John has had to inherit the 1 shot loss for being a runner up, without hitting a Ball. Just a reminder that Subs no longer lose shots if subbing for any pair who have won or come runner up. Worth giving a mention here to Holty and Mozzer who also recorded 25 points going out, what is not worth a mention is their back 9 - Nuff said!

All Monies for winners have been allocated to your choice of account (Club Account against Subs or on Bar Card, Or Pro Shop) - Please remember that the Pro shop is now an options for you going forward. Well done to Nashy and Andy Hall, who both recorded the only 2's of the day at the First Hole pocketing £16.50 for each player - a Good day for the Richardson's indeed.

Congratulations to those who progressed in their KO's and commiserations to the losers - Both Knockouts are attached to this report for anybody wishing to sort their games out - especially the Best Card - let me know if you need contact details.

Thanks to all those that paid their respects yesterday for the Minutes silence whilst out on the course, somethings in life should never be forgot.
