Winter League - Week 1 Results - 16/10/2023

Well all that needs to be set up, has been done (Maybe the odd amendment needed here and there) and we can now start to look forward to another WL.

Welcome old and New members to the Winter League, lets hope you have a successful year – Good luck to Si and Markham in trying to defend their Championship, Henry / Justin defending their Matchplay Crown

I had the pleasure of the Junior Captains company, along with Gaz and Andy Hall on Sunday, as I subbed for the first time in years – thoroughly enjoyed the morning so thanks to all in our group.

Winners this week where the DQ twins from Last year, Jimbob Cordwell and Adam Taylor, with a fine 78 points – never seen anybody as hesitant as Jimbob handing over his card, but they had nothing to fear and picked up the first 15 points of the league along with £60 each, well done chaps, enjoy the reduction in Handicap. In second place came our opponents on the day, Gaz and his Bro Andy (Subbing for our Captain) with 75 points – shot reductions imposed and the captain has to also take the 1 shot on the chins for this coming week going forward.

Thanks to the President and Ed for helping out the Liv tour 2 ball and pairing up with them.

As a reminder to all, your winnings will be put on club account (Including 2’s Money) until the New Pro can accommodate us and set up our individual accounts in the Shop – Unless you want it on your Bar Card.

As notified – Format has changed for this coming Sunday to Canadian Greensomes – anybody not clear on this format then please see the attached – 2’s Hole will be the 17^th Only.

As some will have seen the Knockouts have been done – I will send separate email about those and attached the Draw
