Good Morning - Please see below for knockout rules
- General Rules for both Knockouts
- Subs can not be used in any Knockout - If your partner is not available, then you can play 1 v 1, however the other pair do not have to comply with this
- Contact your opponents and agree a Mutual Date and Time to play - I have most if not all contact details
- Under no circumstances must you just book a Time without prior consultation with your opponents
- Failure to agree a Date / Time to play on the Last date will mean expulsion for both pairs
- Knockouts can be played most weeks - But sometimes for Matchplay the Format has to suit, so Matchplay can't be played when playing Greensomes or Foursomes
- Please inform the organiser once you agree a date to play
- Please remember to get your match arranged at your earliest convenience, as I don't want to be chasing you up - Please don't say you didn't know about it
- Played over the amount of holes Open on the day
- Matchplay
- Must be played head to head
- Handicaps will be Full difference on the day
- Contact must be made with opponents to arrange a mutual Date and Time If you play early and your opponents play late -say 8am and 11am - Then 9.30am would be a compromise
- if the Matchplay has to be played as a 1 v 1 - Then all handicaps are worked out from the lowest man in the 4 ball - even if he does not play
- Best Card Knockout
- In this Knockout you do not have to play together
- You just need to arrange a date to play
- You can play at 8am and your opponents play at 11am - the winner will be those with the best score on the day - CPO's may need to be done in the case of a Tie
- If you have to play this 1 v 1 - Then just mark an Additional card on the day - as you can still play with a Sub for Purposes of the WL
There may seem to be a lot above, but it really isnt as difficult as the above may seem. I would always ask you play your match earlier than the Dates they have to be played by as it helps when weeks get cancelled and things become more and more difficult to cram in, especially in the first couple of Rounds.
