Sunday 18Th February - Comp Cancelled - WL Update

Morning All

Well another wash out and I am sure we have a pairing called 'T Orrential / R Ain' in this league because they keep winning every other week, as they did again this week.

We have no WL next week as the Sunday will be for Boyley and his Memorial Day. If You are playing in this then please make sure you are at the club for about 9am - it will be open from 8.30 - Booking in will be in the Clubhouse with Cosmo, I will be overseeing you draw your own Tee, Boyleys Son Mike will be Selling Raffle Tickets, and Barclay will be selling a Footy Card - Tee off will be 10am - all Proceeds will go towards the British Heart Foundation at the request of the Family - PLEASE BRING CASH AS NO PLASTIC WILL BE ACCEPTED. More to follow on this as the week progresses. Noticed we need 2 players now for this, to make up a couple of pairs - and WL lads want to jump in last minute?

As of last week, we where on course for completing 17 weeks in the league with your best 13 scores counting towards your overall total, as today was cancelled that has now left us with 16 weeks and your best 12 scores will count - The League Table has been amended to reflect this, and strengthens Willy and DJ's chances of lifting the New WL Trophy, which Ironically will be called the 'Dave Boyle Memorial Trophy'.

Both Finals will now be contested on Sunday 3rd March, as Todays Matchplay was washed out along with the round - Good luck to all pairs involved in that.

BRS is open now for booking on for 3rd March and 10th - I asked Parky to open these now, as it is easier all round. Remember that the 10th is the final week, and it will be a shot gun start - which will be followed by the presentation within an hour of finishing, for which i hope you will show your support for all our winners / runners up, also support your incoming Captain at his first of many Presentations during his year in Office.

The Draw for Tees on the 10th will be performed by Daniels / Bullard, who won fastest finger first and put down with me and Trev, and will get a Priority Tee on the day along with their playing partners. Priority tees will also be given to The Captain and his 4 ball, The President and his 4 ball, and my Handicap Sec James Cordwell and his 4 ball - I have also noticed that a Director is playing on the 10th, so they will also get a priority tee.

Sunday 3rd March Format will be DAMIAN - 666 - Holes 1 - 6 will be Multiplier - Holes 7 - 12 Betterball - Holes 13 - 18 Both To Score - all will be Stableford. if any holes are closed then as an example you will do the following - holes 1,2 and 3 closed - you only play multiplier on holes 4,5 and 6.

2's holes on the day will be 1 and 10 (if any are closed then i will amend this)

Finally our Featured Image this week is our New Chairman of the Board, Mark Howarth - I am sure we all wish Mark and the New Board the very best of luck over the coming 12 Months, as I am sure they will build on all the positive work being carried out both in the clubhouse and out on the Course.
