Good day to you all
Well after some bad rain on Saturday afternoon and Heavy showers going in to the evening, I was a little surprised the Comp was on, but after playing the course yesterday (Subbing with Ed) it had drained so well, you would have thought the rain missed it - some places where worse than others, but in General the course was fine. We do have a couple of areas that are worse than others, especially up 6 and across 7, and for those that can remember this was the area the Pipeline went through, all in all though the course held up very well.
For those that played in the 'Creative Cosmo Comp' on the Saturday, which was enjoyed by Most - then playing 666 Damian format in the WL must have been a piece of cake for you. For the second week Running Macca was in the winners circle, after winning last week with Andy Hirst, he followed that up with another win This time with Wayne , scoring 70 points and Beating Nashy and Guy by way of a better back 9. The Handicaps took a Pounding However as Macca is now down to 4, and Wayne down to 3, Nashy is now off +5 and Guy is down to 7 - Good luck with remainder of the season. Wayne is shown in the main Feature with a Scottish, United and Aberdeen legend, Gordon Strachan, Macca is pictured just being as serious as he has ever been lol
We had 6 x 2's on the day, with only the 17th Counting for a change - Armo however decided it would be easier just chipping from 60 yards for a 2 at 16 instead, well done pal.
Our NP winner this week was Holty with 2ft 5" - I have to say after seeing it I thought it was a lot closer, and challenging Dave Gamble's nearest, but alas unlike it wasnt to be - and he even missed the Putt for the 2.
A quick word on the Subs Front - Waites / Neary + Crook / Hassall have now used their quota of Subs for the WL - this does not stop them from playing, it just means they cannot score any points and the week will be treated as a No Score , they can still win any prize though. Dave Slingsby cannot Sub for Battersby / Winstanley and score WL points - Caldon Henson is the same with Arnison / Wood - as is Mark Holland with Hamer / Seymour. Gamble / McGloughlin have 1 sub left, which they will use this coming Sunday, and finally Jones / McIntosh also have 1 sub left.
Knocking Off has begun for those with 14 rounds in - and the league has yet again changed, with new leaders being Nashy and guy - closely followed by Sid and Woody and New into the Challenge Wayne and Flynny.............................What changes are there to be next week in Both to Score, we shall just have to wait and see.
Good luck to you all and have a good week.
