Winter League Week 15

Good Morning All

I trust the weather was a bit more Friendlier on Sunday than it has been these last few weeks, and hopefully the Format enjoyable, even though it can be a bit of a Tough one, and a proper partnership breaker when getting a Birdie with a Shot and you mate misses a 12 Incher for a Point - Ouch, there will be plenty of Tutting going on.

Our winners this week with a Great score of 87 Points (This pair are always overdue a win) where James and Laffy, James scoring 40 points and laffy 37 - No blobs either which will always help in this format. Our Runners up on the day where Ian Toole and Steve Waddup on 85, another pair usually in the hunt, but not bothered the 'Scorers' as much this WL. Again no Blobs on the card,  is this the start of a charge from both pairs in their quest to be in the mix come the final week? Mention also to 2 subs who paired up , Karl Hayden, Mark (VDV) Holland who amassed 80 Points and came 3rd - Great knocks by all the top 3 to be fair.

The League table has taken another twist, with the Leaders not playing last weekend, they dropped down to 4th on 86 points. The Leaders are Now Sid and Woody - Pictured in the main Feature - who have been up there all year to be fair. Joint second on 89 points are Ed and Dave Mac, along With Cosmo and the Colonel, who have also been up there most of the Time.

Next week is week 14 of the League - and this is the last week to record a Score, as week 15 sees the Knocking off start. Some will not have played all 14 Weeks and this will be reflected on the Table by a Green shaded area. Remember its your Best 14 Scores that will count as your final Total. If anybody needs to know how this works, then please let me know and I will explain it to you.

Next weekend we see 2 Of the Matchplay Semi Finals being played at 9.20 amd 9.30 - Please be mindful of this when out on the course, can I also remind the Semi Finalists, whilst in the Zone playing your game, be mindful of losing ground on the Group in front and if this is the case then allow the Group behind to go through. The Best Card Semi Finals are also being played - so after Sunday we shall know our Finalists. The Matchplay final has had a slot reserved for Sunday 8th Feb around 9.30 am - may I wish all the semi finalists the very best of luck.
