Good day to one and All
Well after the winds of Storm 'Eowyn' and not so much rain - I hope the course was a bit dryer on Sunday, and the wind that was out there was not to severe. So on to the stories from the day including Winners - Runners up - Knockout winners - Semi - Final Line ups and all other news from the day.
Featured Image Shows Steve Waddup putting for his 2 on 18 - which he sunk!
Progressing through to the matchplay Final are Steve Waddup / Ian Toole (pictured left) after winning 4n2 against Mrs Browns Boys. Just to strong on the day according to Stuart. The 2 outstanding Qtr Finals were also played in the Jones Jug, with Carl North beating Mark Seymour to take Burke / North to the Semi Final, where they will meet Holt / Morris who beat Nash / Owen in their match - This is due to be played on Sunday 9th Feb with the Final on Sunday 16th. The semi Final line up is now known for the Best Card after Cosmo beat Mozzer, - Stephenson / Wright v Cordwell / Taylor - Richardsons v Finnegan / Parker - These can be played next sunday or the 9th - Please arrange as soon as possible. I will however be flexible with the Semi-Finals and Final, as I have always been in the past - Fingers crossed we can get these over by the 16th of next month - weather dependant.
Our Winners on the day, making it their second win of the WL, where Bomber and Guy with a medal score of 50 - Truth be known Bomber may as well of stayed in bed, and I thought he had on the Front 9 as Column B looked like an Orphan, as Column A was Blank - Maybe Bomber might have scored on the 5th, who knows - He Did manage to come back in level par though, if you count that his 2 contributions on 11 (Bogey) and 15 (Birdie)!! Similar Story with The Runners up who carded a 51 - with the Captain Contributing on 3 Holes (Who was subbing for a Sub - and Good to see him out on the course) and Cosmo Chipping in and helping himself to 4 Birdies on the day - Well done all and enjoy the New Handicaps!! I have included the winners Pictures at the Top of this Report - when will they learn to send me a Picture of them together!!
Our winner on the day was our Vice Captain Elect Ian 'Mozzer' Morris, with a shot to 4ft, and he now becomes the 12th Finalist for shoot out day. A good start to his day as him and Holty went on to beat Nashy and Kenny in the matchplay, but Mozzer was less successful in his best card as he lost to Cosmo.
6 x 2's where recorded on the day and paid out £5.50 to each player
I have added a new List to this weeks downloaded documents and this is an accumulation of Monies won by Each player - Be that Winning or being Runners up on a week, 2's and Nearest Pin. Just a bit of information I am sure will draw up some Banter in the Clubhouse.
The League Table looks very interesting at Present, plenty of pairs up there with a Chance - however it is far to early to call, but it is noticeable the Usual suspects are lurking and good to see some up there who have had a good winter, in with a Chance.
I did send you a Copy of the Formats coming up and as long as we play, then we will stick to it.
Good luck to you all this week
