Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

  • These terms and conditions govern your participation in the Masters 2024 Competition ("Competition").
  • By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements.

2. Eligibility

  • The Competition is open to individuals aged 18 and over, except employees of Bury Golf Club Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the Competition.
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Competition.

3. How to Enter

  • To enter the Competition, participants must answer a question via our website.
  • Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  • The closing date for entry will be 10 pm, 15th April 2024. After this date, no further entries to the Competition will be permitted.
  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

4. Prizes

  • The winner(s) will receive a round of golf for four people, including two golf buggies. Tee time can be arranged via the club secretary and shall be at the club's discretion so as not to clash with club competitions etc.
  • The prize must be used before 15th October 2024.
  • Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  • Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. Judging and Notification

  • The Competition winner will be determined via a random generator.
  • The winner(s) will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter/Facebook within 7 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

6. Data Protection and Publicity

  • By entering this Competition, you agree that any personal information you provide with the entry may be held and used only by Bury Golf Club Ltd or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition.
  • Winners agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material and their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

7. General

  • Bury Golf Club Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
  • Bury Golf Club Ltd is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this Competition.
  • This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any Social Media Platform. You are providing your information to Bury Golf Club Ltd and not to other parties. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found here.

8. Governing Law

  • UK law shall govern these terms and conditions, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Acknowledgement

  • By participating in the Competition, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Dr Alister Mackenzie

30th August 1870 – 6th January 1934.
MacKenzie, a name that resonates with awe and respect in the golfing world, is among the most famous golf architects in history.

His contributions to the sport have earned him a well-deserved place in the prestigious World Golf Hall of Fame.

He designed more than 50 golf courses, including three that remain in Golf Digest's 2022 Top 10 golf courses in the world: Augusta National Golf Club and Cypress Point Club in the US, Royal Melbourne Golf Club (West Course) in Australia, and, of course, Bury Golf Club in the UK.
