Bury is full of history and tradition, as well as a very busy golfing and social calendar. We are celebrating our 100th Anniversary at Unsworth Hall.
As well as a great golf course, designed by Alister Mackenzie, the club itself is very welcoming of new members, and there will certainly be a group for you to join be it morning or afternoon swindles, or one of many competitions held each week.
The gentlemen have competitions on Saturday or Sundays, and there are competitions most weekends throughout the year. Any free Saturday throughout the year a Pro’s Optional Competition is played. The club runs a Winter League from November through to March, followed by a winter mixed. Ladies day is Tuesday when either 9 hole or 18 hole competitions are played.As well as weekend competitions, the club also runs a Wednesday Medal each month and so you are never short of competition golf.
Bury mens teams compete in the North Manchester League, Ladies play handicap teams, the seniors play in the Red Rose League The club also has a thriving juniors section, who meet every Tuesday throughout the summer months, always following the England Golf Safe Golf and safeguarding protocols.
Whenever you want to play just check with BRS for tee time availability, visitors are welcome check with the pro for availability.
Membership categories are Male full 7 day, 5 day with reductions up to 32 years of age. Ladies, Juniors and social membership is available which gives access to our clubhouse facilities.
