TO AVOID THE EMBARRASSMENT OF VISITORS BEING BARRED FROM THE CLUBHOUSE AND/OR THE COURSE PLEASE ENSURE ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR PARTY ARE AWARE OF THESE CONDITIONS.

Bury Golf Club is an 18 hole course and described as semi-moorland, it is undulating and considered to be a fair test of golf. It is not a course for beginners. It is expected that all your party can play to a reasonable standard and do not unduly delay play. Each player must have a set of golf clubs and bag, proper footwear and expected to comply with the etiquette of golf. Handicap Certificates may be required.

Dress
Club rules require men to wear jackets and ties in the Dining Room after 6.30pm. Jeans, tee shirts, collarless shirts or tracksuits are not allowed in the Clubhouse nor on the course at any time. Tailored shorts are allowed on the course, and in the Clubhouse until 7.30pm, but must be knee length. Draw string shorts and tennis shorts are not allowed, Shirts must be tucked into trousers and caps must not be reversed. If socks are to be worn they must be white sports socks, coloured socks must be knee length, trainer socks, i.e. those that come just below the ankle bone are now allowed.

Lady's shorts must be tailored and of knee length and Lady's sleeveless tops must have a collar, scoop necklines are not acceptable.

Anyone not wearing the correct clothing will not be allowed to play the course nor allowed in the clubhouse.

Fees
Society Golf fees are £26.00 per day and this covers 9 holes in the morning and 18 holes in the afternoon (this does not include the cost of any food). Societies are allowed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays however there are no catering facilities on Mondays. All Green Fees must be paid to the Professional prior to play, cheques should be made payable to BURY GOLF CLUB.

Meals are provided by our caterers and cheques should be made payable to them. All drinks must be paid for in cash.

Confirmation
The booking will not be confirmed until a deposit of £5.00 per person (minimum deposit £100.00) is received. The deposit must be received no later than 4 weeks after the original provisional booking otherwise the booking will be deemed cancelled.

The organiser should confirm the numbers to both the Secretary’s Office and the Caterers at least 5 days prior to the event. The Club cannot guarantee to cater for more than the number of people originally booked for.

Cancellation
Deposits will not be refunded in the event of the society cancelling within 8 weeks before the event. If the course is closed due to inclement weather the deposit will be returned in full, however the Club will not accept any further liability to the society.

The Club reserves the right to cancel and refund the deposit in whole or in part:
(a) If the Club or any part of it is closed due to fire, natural disaster, employee dispute closure by public authority or any other reason beyond the Club’s control.
(b) If the booking is potentially detrimental to the reputation of the Club.

Numbers
The minimum number that can be accepted that qualifies for the Society concession rate is 12. The maximum number is 48 unless by prior arrangement.

Format of Play and starting times
All fourball play should be betterball, stableford, par, bogey foursome or greensome. Singles play should be stableford or par and must be played in threes. Medal rounds or Texas Scrambles are not acceptable. Societies are limited to 9 holes in the morning and 18 in the afternoon and play must be from YELLOW for men and RED for ladies.

The normal tee times for societies are 10.00am and 2.00pm, which will be confirmed after receipt of deposit. The starting times allotted must be strictly adhered to, players overrunning their allotted time may be prevented from playing.

Advertising Signs
No posters, signs or displays may be erected anywhere on the course or around and in the Clubhouse without prior permission from the Secretary.

Trolleys
Only wide wheeled trolleys are allowed on the course, these can be hired on the day from the Professionals shop. Power trolleys are allowed but these may be restricted in inclement weather, visitors are advised to check prior to their visit. BUGGIES OR RIDE ON KARTS ARE NOT ALLOWED EXCEPT BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT.

Prizes
Although it is not a condition of booking, visiting parties are asked to observe the normal courtesy of arranging for their prizes to be supplied by the Club Professional. Bury’s Professional, Mr. Gary Coope (0161 766 2213), carries an extensive range of golf equipment and clothing and will be delighted to provide prizes, given prior notice.

Mobile Telephones
These are intrusive and a considerable nuisance to other players. The use of mobile telephones is expressly forbidden anywhere on the course and in the Clubhouse, however they can be used on the Car Park.

Insurance
Bury Golf Club accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to clothing or equipment nor for any losses from or damages to vehicles parked on Club property. All visitors should carry appropriate insurance to cover third party claims.




Playing with a member : Weekdays £15.00 | Weekends & Bank Holidays £18.00
Not playing with a member : Weekdays £30.00 | Weekends & Bank Holidays : £35.00

Visitors playing in a 2 ball with a 2 for 1 voucher
£15 each during the week & £17.50 each at weekends.
