VISITING SOCIETY INFORMATION
Society Days
Bury Golf Club is always pleased to welcome visiting societies throughout the year. The club wishes our visitors to enjoy a truly exceptional course that has, in July 2011, been extended to a total length of 6088 yards and par and S.S.S. of 70.
Generally our Society days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, although if catering is required on a Monday this must be pre-arranged as it is usually the Caterers day off. We currently do not accept visiting golf societies at weekends.
Booking Systems
Booking can be made with the Secretary David Parkinson, or Assistant secretary Lesley, by telephoning 0161 766 4897 or emailing us at secretary@burygolfclub.com. All on line bookings will be checked for course availability and confirmed by return. We can also book your catering at the same time.
Dress code
We would ask visitors to comply with our dress code. A minimum standard of smart casual dress is required both on the course and in the clubhouse. If in any doubt please contact us before your visit.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to the course or clubhouse if not suitably attired.
Handicap Certificates / Course Etiquette
Visiting players are not required to hold a handicap certificate when playing at Bury Golf Club. We only ask that visitors observe our dress code and the normal rules of golf etiquette required at any golf club
Club Professional
Our PGA golf professional Gary Coope is available to give assistance to all visiting societies in respect of recommending holes for nearest the pin and longest drive competitions and supplying markers, together with prizes and golf equipment., contact phone number 0161 766 2213.
